Call for projects

The Foundation is seeking projects related to traditional games and leisure activities in general and the impact of the evolution of digital technologies and video games on human relations in individual, collective, family and/or school games.

Preamble

Leisure activities are an integral part of modern society, this society of the spectacle, and are found in all aspects of daily life, bringing together people or groups from different cultures. However, some forms and types of leisure raise ethical and normative questions and open issues of self-representation, gender and inclusion. Nowadays, digital technologies have enabled the proliferation of different platforms and tools and globalized entertainment spaces such as video games, e-sports, etc. and are leading to new forms of hybrid relationships, at the interface of machines and big data and humans. We are very interested in the issues related to the will to perpetuate traditional games and toys, to enhance local and national ludic heritages, linked to languages and territories, to social and environmental transformations linked to leisure, to accessibility and adaptation measures, and to the digitalization of the latter, to name but a few.

It is more important to promote spaces of production and distribution of know-how and life skills, knowledge related to leisure, traditional games in the accompaniment of artists, writers, practitioners, experts in video games and artificial intelligence, project leaders who can bring innovative works promoting a change of paradigm or mobilization and transfers of knowledge and skills.
