The International Festival of Traditional Games and Toys of Canada is an annual festival that aims to promote a dynamic of exchange, sharing, transmission and reflection on games, traditional toys and play practices, and leisure activities in general. This festival, with a scientific and cultural dimension, with a national and international aim, is a space for reflection, sharing and exchange around games, traditional toys (games in the broad sense) in combination with various other themes and disciplines that can arouse interest in a critical, scientific and artistic production, a space for public and participatory dialogue on traditional games and leisure in Canada and internationally. It is also an opportunity to promote traditional games and toys, responsible play and a culture of entertainment that promotes more equality, equity and inclusion in society.
